A Day In The Life Of Poxey 

poxey rushes to the icy hills and tumbles to her fresh meal "yummy nice and slimy fish just right for me" poxey says with a wide grin and slurps it up. She slowly walks over to a skateboard and digs her claws into the wood and  creeps down to the hills edge and zooms down the slippery wet grass. She slides down "weeeeee" she screams as she slowly stops to a... HUGE DINOSAUR! she gasps as her wings spread apart and she fly's up the hill and inside the warm cave. she leaps onto her warm leaf bed and snuggles into my arms as we slowly drift to sleep.

STEP BY STEP PLAYING THE GAME

1. Randomly pick each player 4 cards 

2. Roll the dice and start to move around the board

3. Every colour has a emoji on it if you land on a angry emoji than you act angry until you roll again

4. If you land on a card you pick up a card from the stack

5. If you pick up a exploding card you will be out of the game unless you have a safety card

Coming to New Zealand was a good decision for everyone?

 Coming to New Zealand was a good decision for everyone? I disagree.

Did you know the Europeans killed thousands of animals and tricked moari and stole their land when they came to NZ?. 

I think it was a bad decision for the Europeans to have come to NZ for everyone but mostly the Maori. The Europeans made the treaty to make the Maori give up land because the moari didn't understand their language This caused wars and battles. In the Flagstaff War the lives of about 1,800 Maori and 800 Europeans were killed over all the wars.

It was a bad decision for the Europeans to have come to NZ everyone but mostly moari because the Europeans brought diseases and parasites to NZ. The Europeans also brought measles and the flu to NZ and made lots of people suffer. Now loads of people in New Zealand die of diseases and parasites.

The Europeans took all of the Maoris land. The Europeans started cutting moari forests trees down an used the land to make houses and farms in the 1800s. By the 1900s the moari were mistreated and had less than the Europeans.

In conclusion I think it was a bad decision because the Moari had to suffer from diseases and parasites and their land was destroyed because of the Europeans.

The rickety railway (long write)

The grey misty fog flows across the rickety railways covering the lush green trees. The spongy moss spread across the creaking dusty railway. Buzzing bugs swarm the air making a sound that gets louder and louder. The plants hang above the railway swinging back and forward in the powerful wind. The long green grass drups at the noise of a rickety train slowly getting closer and closer to the railway.

There are 5 people sitting inside the train all waiting to get to their destination. They are waiting to get to the new and improved nature zoo in the forest. The zoo has a mysterious unknown species of animal called the chickerafe  (chicken + giraffe = chickerafe). The chickrafe has a bright long spotted neck, big long furry wings. a sharp shiny beak, and four long polka dotted legs. 

The train driver started to slowly stop the train in shock "WHY ARE WE STOPPING" and old lady yelled "b-b-b-because Their is a big hole in the railway" the driver said with a squeaky voice. The railway had two huge holes in the middle the wood had fallen into the disgusting and dirty swamp bellow. All of the people started to panic "WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE" someone screamed.

how will they get out of the jungle alive?!?!   about how they get out of the jungle.

making bread and butter

 Making Butter And Bread

Making Butter

First we started with making the butter. We had a big jar and there was a button inside the jar. Then we had buttermilk that we had to pour into the jar.We went around the circle shaking the jar ten times each. The button inside the jar was used to whip the buttermilk into butter when we shook the jar. After half an hour of shaking the jar it turned into butter. We poured all the excess whey out and then we had perfect butter.

Making Bread`

First we pre-heated the oven to 200c and lined the baking tray with non stick baking paper. Mix 3 cups of flour and a pinch of salt together inside a big bowl. Mix 80g of the butter you made before into the flour mixture until it looks like bread crumbs. Then add 3/4 cup of water and use a sharp blade to mix it into the flour mixture Then use your hands to knead it in and out 1-2 minutes until nice and smooth. Shape into a long log and place it on the tray. Use a knife to put small cuts at the top of the log. Dust the damper with a little flour to make it nice and yummy. Then bake for 45 minutes until its cooked all the way through. 

music story

 I can hear the music flow through my ears its bold and sounds like a storm is rushing around and around your head making beautiful sound making you feel brighter than the sun the cheerful sound make you feel like your flying through the clouds with angles and you start to dance and party to the rhythm of the music sending calm vibrations through your body you start to lift with the movements of the music making you sway back and forward making you get higher and higher so bright your shining brighter than anything you've ever seen  until it drops and sound like a thunder storm lifting you up into the air going up and up until you reach  the lighting it strikes making you feel lighter as you start to feel some banging loud and it feels like something is starting to make a earthquake until it stops and makes you feel like flying through an endless diamond sky flying higher and higher swaying trough all the birds flying high so you sway with them making the sky shatter you start to fall till you land safe and sound on land leaving you with calm nice feelings

Ferrymead Trip

What i learnt when i went to Ferrymead:

1) children were seen not heard

2) ladies/girls always go first

3) children had to treat there shoes with care because they were pricey

4) children did chores to help there family like brooming, washing clothes, chop wood, scrub deck, polish silver

5) you had to make your own candles for light or you couldent see

6) children had to make there own toys from scratch cause they would get bored

7) you had to make there own houses to live in

8) you didn't have much medicine so you would get diseases like the flu, tummy bug, strep throat and get very sick 

9) you had jobs and work like blacksmith were you made shoes and sold them

10) The school was strict and if you didn't listen you would get hurt with a strap

11) The clothes for the children were dresses and nickabockas

12) They cooked and burnt stuff in a fire outside so you could eat or use in

13) You had to be rich and healthy to go on ships and boats cause it costs on ships and no               spreading sickness

14 you had to use leafs from flax to keep your house warm cause there were no pink bats to           keep your house warm

My Ferrymead Trip

 It all started with the loud chatter in the bus it got louder and louder as we got closer and closer to Ferrymead. When we got out of the bus we ate our morning tea "yummy" everyone shouted as the gobbled it all up and started moving to our rotations.

Crafts

when we moved to the craft rotation we started to make a illusion were there is bird that was on one side of a piece of card and a cage was on the other side but there was two pieces of string on each side and when you spin it around fast it makes an illusion. We also did rope making were you tie flax/harakeke together to make a piece of rope and we did two types of knitting normal kitting and french knitting. And last we did candle dipping it's where you dip a piece of string in wax over and over again until it makes a candle. 

Immigration

Then we moved to immigration first we had to pick an item and sit down with it on our lap.  We went around a circle trying to find out who had a rich job and who had a poor job. We had to complete a certificate saying our name our job and our family. Last we had to pick out a card saying if we were allowed to go on the boat. If we were sick we could not go on the boat. I was very lucky I wasn't sick so I could go on the boat.

Packing the trunk

then we moved to packing the trunk first we had to find out what was in the blue and red trunk red trunk=we need blue trunk=we don't need first we started with the red trunk: soap, clothes, shoes, spoon, food, tin boxes and plates, books, brushes, ink, notebook. Then we did the blue trunk: candlemaker, moneybox, broom

V-hut

then we moved to my favorite part the v-hut at the v-hut we had to do chores around and inside the hut like brooming, planting, ironing clothes, washing clothes, chopping wood, polishing silver, scrubbing the deck and raking the leaves.

At the very end of all the rotations we got to roam around all the nabourhod looking at different things my favorite bit at the end was at the school
